 It is the expectation of Temple Contracting Inc. that all employee’s will cooperate with the company’s health and safety program, the OHS legislation and the company’s supervisor for the purpose of protecting the health and safety of themselves and all other workers at all times.

1.       To attend an orientation on or before the first day of work

2.       To read, understand, and comply with the Company’s Safety Program and all appropriate safety legislation.

3.       Report to work fit for duty, able to perform your assignments and responsibilities safely and efficiently and remain in that condition at all times while on duty and must not bring to or consume at the workplace, any alcohol or legally regulated drugs. Use of these substances may qualify you for instant dismissal from the work site.

4.       Assist in hazard assessments at Temple Contracting Inc. Review the safe work plan with your supervisor.

5.       Understand and follow all Material Safety Data Sheets for all “controlled products” that are used at Temple Contracting Inc.

6.       Review and follow all necessary safe work practices and procedures.

7.       To wear and maintain the personal protective equipment and safety clothing required by legislation and Temple Contracting Inc.

8.       To take every reasonable precaution to protect yourself and the safety of other workers.

9.       To report all unsafe work conditions, damaged equipment or tools, near misses, incidents and injuries to the Supervisor as soon as possible.

10.   To cooperate with Temple Contracting Inc. and their supervisors to the best of your ability. Contact the Supervisor if you are unsure of a procedure/task. You must notify your Supervisor if you believe the work being performed is unsafe. Ensure protective action is taken prior to resuming work. Communication with your Supervisor is very important to understand the safe work environment at all times.

11.   To work in a conscientious manner and with regards to health and safety of yourself and other workers who may be affected by your actions. Maintain a safe work        environment at all times.

12.   Maintain company’s image and housekeeping practices at all times.

13.   Safely perform the tasks that you are trained or qualified to do.

14.   To know the location of all first aid, emergency, and safety equipment at Temple Contracting Inc. and the safe work operation of this equipment.

15.   Be familiar with the Emergency Response Plan.

16.   Attend all safety meetings

17.   Participate in the company’s modified work program.
